Fall Semester sudah habis Bro.

Denver-ians and Sir Ikhwan

Macam baru semalam aku pergi beli padlock untuk locker bilik di Kolej Cendana. Tup tap tup tap tup tap. 2 hari lepas dah habis finals. Semalam dah start cuti.

It's been 4 months already since I became one of INTEC's students. Time flies so fast. I still remember all those moments in Fall Semester.

First week of the semester, we (ADFP students) got a placement test. This placement test only test our English skills on paper. So after mark has been given to us, we are placed according to our marks. There is 9 classes of ADFP (American Degree Foundation Program) which is Austin, Boston,  Chicago, Denver (science classes), Eugene, Fargo, Glandele, Honolulu (non-science classes) and Omaha (Australian-bound). I was placed in Denver.

The first day of class, we met Sir Ikhwan, our Pre-Calculus lecturer, he is very very sporting and friendly.

That moment when I introduce myself, I said that my house is located behind Zoo Negara, not literally behind it. People will tease me and make a joke,  saying that I am worthy of being a zookeeper. They even ask, did I heard roars of the lions when I woke up in the morning.

That moment when we made RapidKL bus as if it was our own bus. We snap a lot of pictures. Laugh and going through a tiring day and night together.

That moment when we gathered in one room just to study altogether. Islamic Study, Pre-Calculus, Reading, Writing, Oral Communication, TOEFL Preparation, SAT Preparation.

That moment when somebody asked me, why I bring my Al-Quran to the class everyday and almost everywhere.

That moment when they asked me to explain about certain things about Islam. They even called me certain names.

That moment when we recorded a radio drama, video for campaign project. Brainstormed all the anecdotes and lessons.

That moment when we were competing in memorizing extraordinary lexicons (vocabulary)

That moment when I stayed at my roommate's house. Have the iftar with his family.

That moment when I traveled with him to the 'Indon Recipe' with hats and umbrellas.

That moment when everybody arguing with me about my scholarship allowance.

That moment when I get to know with ikhwah the first week I was there. Discussed a lot of things. Not just a mere things, important and prime one. I am proud of all of them.

And many more moments. Moments that I have carved in my memory card.

Antara mereka-mereka yang aku sangat sayang.

"What I learned from college : Semua orang fitrahnya suka kepada kebaikan, tak kisah lah sejahat mana orang tu. At the end of the day, diorang akan kembali kepada kebaikan. Sometimes, they just need someone to lead the way." - Huzaifah 

Yup, true. I have learned that. 

Diorang nak je buat baik. Tak kisah siapa. Semua fitrahnya memang suka buat baik.

Bila ajak dhuha

Bila ajak jemaah

Bila ajak pergi surau/masjid

Bila bagi tazkirah sikit

Bila ajak puasa sunat

Bila ajak mathurat

Bila kejut bangun Qiyam

Bila bukak sikit cerita pasal sejarah Islam etc.

Semua ok.


Kalau borak2 tu, kadang2 dengar je luahan mereka, mereka juga dambakan biah solehah. Mereka sangat-sangat mahu beramal dengan Islam. 

Kadang-kadang, sebenarnya aku yang banyak belajar daripada mereka. Terasa diri ini begitu kerdil. 

May Allah guide me, us and them to al-Haq. insyaAllah.
May Allah bless our efforts. May Allah strenghten our spirits and ukhuwwah. 

"Pada hari itu sahabat-sahabat karib setengahnya akan menjadi musuh kepada setengahnya yang lain, kecuali orang-orang yang persahabatannya berdasarkan taqwa (iman dan amal soleh).."

Sekarang dah hari kedua cuti. Cuti ni sebenarnya boleh 'membunuh'. Maka sebelum, cuti ni 'membunuh' kita. Lebih afdhal kita bertindak dahulu dengan memanfaatkan dan mengislahkan cuti ini.

InsyaAllah petang ini ada kelas memandu.

Malam ini plan nak pergi Heroes 3: The Rightly Guided Caliph: Abu Bakr. Dekat Moot Court, AIKOL, IIUM.
